Activision has confirmed that Singularity has been delayed and is likely to be released now in March 2010.
So why has it been delayed you may ask? Well apparently it's due to Modern Warfare 2 and when that game was due to be released (around the same time). Activision wishes to spread out the release to avoid the busy season.
"We believe that the March quarter will provide a better opportunity to establish the new cutting-edge action IP as a "must-have" title and clears the way for Modern Warfare 2 to dominate this holiday season,"
